We encounter the problem when we reply or forward a message Notes sends a notification error: An error has occurred in a Lotus Notes application. Data about the error is being collected for your company help desk for use in error analysis. How to solve this issue?

    Hi,, What is the error message you get ??? Does this problm happen with all users or one or two users ?? Why dont you upgrade the lotus notes client of one of these users then check ? Best Regards

    What version of the 8.5.1 client? what hot fixes and anything that you might have added to the client. The client is quite buggy and I have seen allot of them

    The above error can occur due to Lotus Notes corruption. Follow the given steps to resolve the above error: (1) Exit Lotus Notes application. (2) Delete the log.nsf and cache.ndk files . location of files : C:\notes\data directory. (3) Restart Lotus Notes application. (4) Uninstall and Re- Install Lotus Notes application again. I hope this will resolve the problem. This error can also arise due to some other reasons such as the user or admin attempted re-installation process over an actual installation process . Or it may also occur if the server document has a Directory Assistance database field containing a non-existent file name.In such case follow the given steps: -> Open the names.nsf using Notes client, -> Open the Server> Servers view -> Open the server document for Domino server that you're installing on. -> Delete the non-existent file name in the Directory Assistance field. I hope that above steps will help you to solve your issue
