Replication – Quick EDD

Has anyone had experience of migrating from Vision, (OMS ODS), to Quick EDD? I have 6 major Apps all running Vision replication at the moment and I need to upgrade. Quick EDD had been recommended to me and in initial trials it looks good. I just wanted to know if anyone had experience of Quick EDD and if there are any areas I need to test in particular. It seems the overheads for the replication traffic are much less and I like the way it forces journaling if the library / objects you want to replicate are not currently journaled. I will also be using it to replicate the entire system, omitting the system libraries and 3rd party licence key, files / data areas etc. I am currently purchasing two new P7's 740's and want to include in this upgrade the new replication software but don’t want to end up causing myself more issues. So if there is anyone with experience of implementing Quick EDD who can share their experiences that would be most beneficial.

Good Software, But being French based makes support interesting.

Take a look at ISB-HA (isamblue.com), I think you will be suprised by how easy HA can really be on the IBM i.
