Replication MASTER_LINK Value

Replication Materialized Views
I create a new database and import an older example database. When I attempt to refresh some of the existing materialized views they attempt to connect to the old sample databases MASTER_LINK instead of the new one I have defined. How do you alter the MASTER_LINK since it is in a view? I have tried altering the base tables SNAP$ and OBJ$ MASTER_LINK values and that changes the view value, BUT the refresh still gets the older link value!! Why? Where is it lurking?

Sorry! I am using Oracle 10g on an HPUX operating system. This is a test environment so I have the freedom to try anything that might help solve the problem.
