When trying to create a replica of a Lotus Notes client address book, I receive a "You are not authorized to perform that operation." How do I stop this error?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You didn’t say where you were trying to create this replica. I understand that it is a “Personal Address Book”.

From the error message, it appears that you trying to create a replica of this address book on a server. If that is the case, you must go to the Server document, Security tab and give yourself permission to “Create Replicas”.

If this is not the case, then I don’t have an answer for you, unless something is prohibiting this from security on the OS.

As the previous reply mentioned, the location of where you wish to store the replica is important. If it's a Personal Address Book, most people store their replicas locally (usually in the Notes data folder). Right-click on the Personal Address Book and choose Database > Properties to make sure the current file is located where you had expected. To create the replica, right-click on the database again and choose Replication > New Replica. The server be set to Local and if a file path is not already listed, create one and append .nsf appended to the end. If you have specific replication settings settings you wish to apply, do so and then click OK and to initiate the replication process.
