 Removing old 2007 server
Hi, We have successfully migrated from our 2007 server to a 2010 server, no issues or problems and started removing the 2007 server via Add Remove Programs and all went well until there was just the Mailbox Role. It won't delete because it claims there are file in the Public folder 'public', using command line and other tools on both servers I end up going in circles with the main error message I get back that not only are there not any files in the Public folder 'public' but that it does not even exist. We have tried every method we could find in all the tech articles and some of the blogs. So can I go in via ADSIEdit and remove the server from the domain? What happens if I just ignore this and retire the server anyway? Any other thoughts? Cheers Simon
