HOW DO TAKE NUMBERS OUT OF A SWITCH THAT HAVE BEEN CDP'D TO THAT SWITCH AND REPLACE THEM WITH NEW NUMBERS.

WE ARE ADDING BLOCKS OF 200 CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS TO REMOTE SWITCHES AND NEED TO CHANGE OUT THE EXISTING NUMBERS FOR THE NEW CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS.

Software/Hardware used:
CS 1000 RELEASE 5.5

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

When you say “Numbers that have been CDP’d into the switch” are you referring to the auto-registration of your phones?

If this is the case, going into your telephony-services config and adding “no auto-registration” will prevent the phones from “pre-registering” and allow you to add in the ephones / ephone-dns as you need to.

OR, if your asking how to remove already configured DNs, just go into the switch, and either remove and recreate the DN, or simply reassign the DN with the numbers/ extensions you want. (again, turning off auto-reg is helpful in that 1) the switch wont register phones falsely with DNs your trying to use, and 2) makes registering them manually easy as you can find the MAC addresses of the phones under the failed registration attempts)
