 Removal of red corrections on manuscript text

How do I remove an editor's red corrections that continue to appear within the text of a manuscript? I've scribbled these notes: "tools...options...security...privacy option...make hidden" but can't get past "security." I have a novel I can't send to my agent because it shows where I've made changes.

I click on "security" but nothing opens up. Excuse the delay in responding, but I didn't even know how to use this site! Security is a little tab.  When you click it, does it bring the Security tab page to the forefront? (Not a new window)  ------- Sorry, but some days my computer will not let me use the discussion window. When you click Tools, then Options, you get an Options window, yes?  It has about 11 tabs across the top, one of which is Security.  What shows in the window when you click the Security?

Not sure what you mean by “Can’t get past security”  When you click the security tab, you bring the security tab to the forefront.  About halfway down it there is a “Privacy” area which includes a click box for hiding the markups.

That’s the trouble. When I click on “security,” it brings up nothing.
