 Remote update installation.
Hi I am the administrator of a network with about 70 computers running win XP (workstations) and win 2000 advanced server (Servers). I have a domain controller server.How is it possible to install (deploy) patches and updates forom server to workstations remotly? Thanks esfandee@gmail.com

Hi there download SUS from microsoft it is free schedule it to download win updates approve the ones you want on your dc set a policy for your workstations to be updated through your sus server

Hi,

Do you have ADS Installed ? if yes then you can Use SUS.

You can even make the entire process automated if you have permanent internet connectivity. In such case your sus server will fetch the patch directly from microsoft site and will automaticaly update the server.

You can use this tool by Microsoft called SUS(Software Update Services). There is a third party software which people are talking about. It’s called Patchlink. Do some reading on those and make your decision.
