Unless your system uses direct-attach terminals, all access is “remote”. Please define what you mean by “remote”. If you restrict remote access for a user, should local access still work?

And what access do you want to restrict? E-mail? Web server? Telnet? Database? Commands? File server? FTP? Printers? Some of those? All of those? More than those?

Do you want to restrict a specific user? Any user? All users? Will the users change?
