remote output queue report stays in SND status

Without making any printer changes on the iSeries for remote output queues, one of our networked PC printers misbehaves intermittently by forcing the user to press enter twice (check mark).  I suspect that the users are playing with the PC keys thus changing printer settings locally at their location.  Can this cause the problem?

Software/Hardware used:
iSeries type 9402 model 820 on V5R3M0

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Not if it is setup as a remote writer, whatever goes to the queue just prints (raw printing). I have seen this sometimes in the Host print Transform where Drawer 1 is actually pointing to manual Print tray and causes the printer to have user intervention to continue printing. Sometimes changing the Model type changes drawer. Example *HP5SI to *HP4000
