Why go to the 'techyv' site for this since it doesn't say anything about how to use RDP nor how it works? It'd be better to skip 'techyv' altogether and go straight to How to use Remote Desktop Connection (RDC). -- Tom

if its a home network, you will need to enable remote desktop on both computers or laptop and head to run and type mstsc and type the IP address and connect and just login with a user name
