Remote Desktop from a Windows XP/Vista Machine to Mac OS X Leopard

Remote desktop Mac, Vista, Remote desktop, Mac OS

I am trying to find a easy way to connect my windows machine from my office to my mac computer at home. I have found some of these others ways of doing this but i am trying to find a easier and faster way of doing it. I also tried some vnc programs and they seem a little slow.

As far as a cross platform solution PC -> MAC, VNC is the best solution. The slowness is likely due to a combination of the speed of your internet connection, the resolution on your mac, and the color depth you've chosen on your mac.

I believe you can turn off some features in VNC such as transmitting the background, encryption (though you may want that), and other features that may speed things up.

I have had the best luck with UltraVNC…has a lot of speed options..so you can dial it to your needs.
