Q:
Remote Access on a network
In a domain based network, how can a user(network user without administrator permission) access another system in the same network(LAN) remotely without using softwares like Teamviewer? Is there any command or what is the procedure for that?

Does he need Administrator permissions or what?

Please note that both systems are in LAN of a domain based network.

You can give a user permissions for remote access via RDP (remote desktop protocol) without making them an administrator.

RDP is built into Windows, but there are other RDP clients you can download.

What OS and version are you using?

Hope this helps!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

1) The "other" system will need to have Remote Desktop enabled. (RDP is disabled by default)
2) Add the user to the "other" system's Remote Desktop Group
3) From the user's pc, go to Start, Run, type: mstsc (Remote Desktop Protocol window will appear)
4) Type the other system's computer name and connect.
