 Release Management Software
Hi all I've recently started a new job and part of that is looking to improve our release management processes. I've been trawling around trying to find out if there are any third party software products which assist in the workflow management and process. Or (and I realise less likely) a tool which is more involved with the package and deploy stages. Do any of you know of such products (all the tools I['ve come across seem to be more focussed on config and change) or have any useful contacts / advice about this area? Any help gratefully appreciated Thanks Sarah

Answer Wiki:
I have come across (and partly used) two tools which do some of the things you want. 1 Mercury's Test Director is quite good for testing management, with some workflow management (see www.mercury.com). Does not, as far as I know, handle release management beyond that. 2 Serena's PVCS does config management very well and some degree of test management. They seem to have software that handles the deployment as well (see http://www.serena.com/Products/changeman/cm_mover/home.asp )
