Hello. I’m new to the DB world so I decided to look this up. I found this website which was helpful (it’s a start anyway):

To normalize to BCNF, you have removed any relationships between attributes (i.e., columns) that may have existed within the original entity (i.e., table) by representing them in separate entities. Take a look here.
