Related to move array opration

I have following example in rpg Movea ex1(1940) ex2(1920) here ex1 is an array of length 1940 and ex2 is a data structure of length 1920, if the move array operation performed, Is there any loss of information was there?

    Would have to see the D or I and E spec's.      It would appear that the last 20 bytes are lost.

    It's not clear what is meant by "array of length". Is that the number bytes occupied by the entire array? Is it the length of an array element? Or is it the number of elements in the array? Examples of the array D-specs and an actual MOVEA statement would make it clearer. -- Tom

    Ah, yes... one array and one DS; I didn't read clearly. The array covers 1940 bytes with one byte per element, while the DS covers 1920 bytes. Any values in the last 20 elements of EX1 will not be transferred. -- Tom

    Yes, as Tom said, the array elements ex1(1921) through ex1(1940) would not be transfered to the datastructure.
