Actual answer depends on how many rotuers do you have? Do you have one router per MPLS link and who manages the router(s).

If one router terminates both MPLS links and you manage routers on both ends, I’d run BGP on both sides with BGO attributes for path selection.

It seems , you are running the BGP with the service Service Provider (PE) routers and anounced the network, right ? . If it is so , them if any of the link goes down , it will automatically take the alternet path ( As per BGP attribute )

Hi, MPLS just we need to enable , that's it, there is no priamry & back up config for this... But we can configure BGP for that... Configure peerring using loobback and set multi-hop also..put 2 static route for looback ip towards both links... this is the config for load sharing as well as acting primary & backup... If you are using 2 routers for load sharing , you need to configure maimum path config... I hope this wil be useful for u... Regards, STALIN P
