 Redundancy and load balancing on my Dell server
My Dell server has two nics. Can I program them to have two different IP addresses on the same network for redundancy and load balancing?

Yes you can, but you'll actually give them the same IP address. If you are using Windows 2008 or up this can be easily done. In the networking window (the network connections window that shows each of the physical NICs) click on the Advanced drop down then "Bridge Connections". Select the NICs to bridge and give them the IP address, DNS settings, etc. Other OSs can do this as well but will have different configuration steps.
