Easy.

Take a look at the volume group with vgdisplay {vgname} and see if you have any (or enough) free space.

If not,
- make a new partition and tag it as LVM (8e)
- run partprobe so the kernel will see the new partition
- create a new physical volume on the new partition with pvcreate {devicename}
- add it to the volume group with vgextend {vgname} {devicename}

Then,
- use lvextend to make the LV larger: lvextend -L xxxM {lvname} where xxx is the number of MB you want to add.
- resize the filesystem on the LV with resize2fs {lvname}

Don’t need to unmount to extend the LV or filesystem (you would if you were reducing it)

Red Hat has good documentation online for this in the system admin guide for your version of RHEL
