I have a Backup of an Exchange 2007 edb file, which contains public folder data. Is there any way to mount this edb file, or extract public folder data from it, without dropping $1000 on OnTrack Powercontrols?

Software/Hardware used:
Exchange 2007 SP3

    Hey! Zacharystern
Once I required extracting my mailbox data from EDB file. So that, I can work from home on outlook without Exchange server availability.
I tried the Demo version of some EDB to PST Converter software that I found in my Google search. Some software didn’t show me preview of all mailbox items, some shown disturbed formatting, some were difficult to use. I was pissed off.
Being a naïve user, I needed some easy to use and efficient software that let me extract my mailbox data from the EDB file without causing any data loss or lost formatting. Thankfully ‘Stellar EDB to PST Converter’ provides an interactive and self guiding interface that let me perform the EDB to PST conversion without requiring any extra technical assistance.

    Hi,

For a simplified extraction of the Exchange Database (EDB) from NT, Veritas, HP, Symantec backup, I can suggest you to go in for Lepide's tool which can do such operations quickly. It takes all the data from backup and then store it in the source. From there you can restore this data to PST, Office 365 or Live Exchange Server format at the destination side. Apart from this the tool also does an effective repair of corrupt EDB as and when required.
