 Recovering BIOS password on laptop
BIOS password, Recovery procedures
I have a former employee who managed to set a BIOS password on his laptop before turning it in. I'm getting conflicting advice about how to bypass the password and would rather have to slap a new image on it. Is it really as easy as yanking out the battery?

In general, you'll need to yank the watch battery on the system board itself. This should reset the laptop to bios defaults.
