 Windows XP client – Recovered From a Serious Error
Good Evening I need a little help if some one can I am running version 2002 windows XP Pro. with SP-3 Pentium ( CR ) CPU 2.41 GHz with 1.00 GB ram 80GB hard drive Every time I run scan disk and after it reboots I get the error message below I would appreciate any help I could get because I have no Idea the message is trying to tell me I have not added any new hardware in over a year,the only new soft ware is I downloaded explorer 8 a couple weeks ago Russ The system has recovered from a serious error. I would try windows system file checker (SFC). This command requires an XP Pro CD, takes quite some time, but will check and repair any system-level files. <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/system_file_checker.mspx?mfr=true">SFC</a> I would also start in safe mode with networking, bring up the msconfig utility, and begin checking around to see if anything is out of place, if there are additional services running, or problems with the boot.ini that could cause this.
