Recover an Exchange 2003 server after transition to 2007?
Is it possible to recover an Exchange 2003 server that's been removed after moving over to 2007? I have some users that created folders in their inbox that were not affected by retention policy in 2003 but are now affected in 2007. The 2003 server has been completly removed, and I need to be able to restore their mailboxes from a 2003 backup. Is this possible?

Software/Hardware used:
Exchange 2007, Exchange 2003

Answer Wiki:
I would recommend using Ontrack Power Controls which can mount the Exchange EDB files and restore to either PST files or directly into Exchange. Yes, you can recover the mailbox to a recovery server. Here's a good guide for you.
