 Reconnecting Mailboxes in Exchange
To correct a roaming profile problem the accounts were recreated and the old accounts were deleted. At this point the exchange email accounts have become dissociated with their accounts. I need to associate them with the new accounts and recover the email messages. I know that there is a time limit on this so quick answers would be appreciated.

Answer Wiki:
If the nailboxes are on Exchnage 2000 or 2003 then you need to open the Exchange System Manager (ESM) and browse down to the mailbox store onto which the mailboxes were originally. You must make sure that the new account don't have new mailboxes attached to be able to re-associate them, as you can only have 1 mailbox per account. You can set the delete unassociated mailbox function on each mailstore to a large amount of days (or off) so that they don't delete in the meantime. If users now have data in the new mailboxes, you will have to associate each one to a test user and extract the mail to a pst file and reimport the data for each user.
