I keep getting this error in SQL Server 2012 when I'm trying to restore a backup made with a previous version (SQL Server 2008). The newest files are restoring fine but here's the error I'm receiving for other files:

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: Directory lookup for the file "C:PROGRAM FILESMICROSOFT SQL SERVERMSSQL.1MSSQLDATAMYDB_ABC.MDF" failed with the operating system error 3(The system cannot find the path specified.). (Microsoft.SqlServer.SmoExtended)

Can someone explain to me why this is happening? Why is it trying to restore on MMSQL.1 when my database files are located here:

c:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL11.MSSQLSERVERMSSQL
