 reassign the drives automatically withoput the use of the console
AS/400 backup, Partitions, SAVF, Tape Backups, Tape drives
We have a 525 with 2 tape drives. Our prod backups occur at 1:00 am to savfs and then at 5:00 am the savfs are put to tape Our dev backups occur at 12:00 am to savfs and then when we come in we use the HMC to manually reassign the drives to the 2 dev partitions and the we sav the savfs to tape. My question is: Does anyone know of a way to ? Pleae HELP! Thanks, John

Are those two drives direct attached to the 525? If not, what machine are they in? A library? If they're external, what do they use to connect to the 525?

Hi sloopy,

Yeah it is frustrating. It isn’t just the link button either. The code button also doesn’t seem to work in the discussion section (though both do in the answer section).
