Reading liblist through an ILE program

Our part of the company controls what objects our programs on our AS/400 work, running them with different liblists. But we know that some operations can't be controlled by this. Our program needs to read the liblist and decide on some of the libraries in it (and how to act).

But we couldn't find the API to read the liblist entries from within a program. We expect to have an API that lets us read through the liblist entries by priority / gives us an array with them. We prefer RPG or CL but ILE would work too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would write a small CL program to call from the RPG

It would use the RTVJOBA command to retrive the library list into a variable 2750 character long (275 libraries - 10 characters each)

The Retrieve Job Information (QUSRJOBI) API can retrieve the job's library list by using format JOBI0700. RPG or CL can easily handle the API. -- Tom
