Re-associate Users to Exchange server mailbox
Please forgive my ignorance if I do not explain myself well. There was a problem on MS Small Business Server running Exchange. Messages could not find a way out through the exchange server and the message folder kept replicating the outgoing messages and the folder eventually became unmanageable and slowed down the network. Found out it was a corrupt SMTP protocol and rebuild it. Somehow I tested the exchange server and it was sending and receiving. Two days later I was told that the "Outlook clients" on the workstations retrieve e-mails directly from their hosting site. I beed to know how to re-associate the users and/or mailboxes so users can receive e-mail through Exchange with the Outlook client. All advice will be greatly appreciated. Rod

Answer Wiki:
What versions of server/client are you talking about? What version of Exchange? The key question is whether there is Active Directory involvement or whether this is the Exchange 5.5 Directory service that we are talking about.
