If you re-arrange data in a data set, you need to make sure that every progrom that accesses that data uses the new definition of the data set.
Even if you are not rearranging, just change field lengths or attributes (Character to numeric, ...) you create the same issue.
-
And if that rearranged data is still usable. You will probably experience a different performance characteristic.
