On my Windows 10 SSD card, I have over 20 GIGS available. I need to extend my default drive for getting back unused space. But my machine shows the 'extend drive' option is greyed out so I can't do it. My friend told me that it's showing this because there's no allocable space. But I do have space! What should I do?

Tough to say. Are you sure there is nothing there? Some vendors will put a recovery partition on a drive in case the OS gets wiped or you need to do a clean install. What are the specs of the computer in question, make, model, OS and drive size...

For this purpose, have you proper admin rights? Check permissions also. It is a risky job. Please take all necessary backups (personal folders/files/pictures etc.) You can download/install Minitool (free to use) and can try for the same. However, it is necessary to know about your system's configurations to get more good replies.
