Assuming you are refering to data queues and want to reclaim the storage associated with the queue after messages have been removed (two large assumptions) then the <a href=”http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v6r1m0/topic/apis/qmhqcdq.htm”>Change Data Queue</a> API might be what you are looking for. This API can cause the system to automatically reclaim storage greater than the initial allocated size whenever the data queue is empty.
