Hello, I am getting the below error on customer production error, Query timeout expired - State:S1T00,Native:0,Origin:[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0] The queries are forming on the fly using MFC's record sets. if I try to run that queries on SSMS directly I am not getting that error. How to identify exactly which query leads this error and how to troubleshoot? I will appreciate your help. Regards, Narasimha

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

.NET has by default a query execution timeout of 30 seconds.  You need to either tune the query so that it runs faster (probably by adding indexes which are missing) or you need to increase the timeout within the .NET code so that the execution timeout is hire than 30 seconds.

the queries are forming on the fly using MFC's record sets.   Please explain what the means. It looks like it means that these are dynamic queries. But if they are dynamic, please explain what this means:   if I try to run that queries on SSMS directly...   Tom

"The queries are forming on the fly using MFC's record sets..."  First, I would recommend identifying which one of the queries is causing the error.  Some debug messages would help you do that easily.  Also, I would recommend providing more details.  Is it a remote database ?  Can you post your code ?
