How does one ensure that the quality management is done correctly in software testing projects? Which tools does he or she need to use? What best practices/ next practices are useful?

I think you can measure the quality of a software testing project when you look at the issues or bugs reported after the testing process. The testing process is critical if you want to release a really good product, so if the testing is done well, the post-test problems should be minimum.
