Access QTEMP in session

Hi, can anybody tell me if a user has two sessions running: 1) can he access the QTEMP in one session to other session 2) if he closes the 1st session and opens another session can he access the QTEMP to this session(2nd)? Thanks.

No and No.
Each batch job and each interactive job (that’s a session) has a unique QTEMP library.
It’s created when the job starts and deleted when the job ends and generally cannot be accessed by other jobs.

    Your Operational Assistant session(Session we can take by Esc --> F9) also create seperate QTEMP.... Pls confirm if i am wrong....

    If I remember correctly, opening a OA session creates a group job (in most ways equivalent to having two sessions opened via System Request). I don't think the QTEMP associated with the OA session is available to another job. Besides, how would you reference it?

    Some years (back in 1994 I think) I've written a little utility in MI that swaps two QTEMP libraries. Of course my only goal at time was to check the content of some file created in other QTEMP library. And I think that the security level should be at 30 if I'm correct. This is not something you shoud do normally. Perhaps you shoud rethink your design. But like Phil told you, after a job end it's not possible to acess the QTEMP library contents.
