    Various ways to do this:
1, Buy software that does this and makes it simple. Many good products on the market.
    2. See if you can find a download for OPRMONE. This is a routine using APIs to do what you want. You may need to tweak it some to get it to work for you . I have done this before.
    3. Write your own program using APIs to do this. IBM has APIs for getting to QSYSOPR.

There are various ways to do this:
    1. See if you can find a copy of OPRMONE on the web to download. It is old and you may need to tweak it some. but it works. I have done this in the past.
    2. You IBM QSYSOPR MSG APIs to write your own program to do just what you want.
    3. Buy a package to do this. There are many available and all offer different features.

Check out SndTweet by Kisco.  It does what you want and provides two-way communication which allows you to respond to QSYSOPR messages with a text message.  We have used this for about four years.  Works well and reasonably priced.

One nice feature of the message monitor function is the ability to ignore messages which do not need your immediate attention.
