When i change my qsysopr delivery mode to *break mode.it it is breaking for all the messages like (mess needing replay and mess not nedding a replay).By this we are not able to concentrate on MESS NEEDING REPLAY.When ever new alert (mess not nedding a replay) came it is over riting earlier one.

Now,My Request is i want qsysopr to break only for mess needing a replay.

Your answer is greatly helpful to my team members.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

your break message should have a higher serverity level that normal/informational messages.
So if you use this command, it should work for you.
CHGMSGQ MSGQ(QSYSOR) DLVRY(*BREAK) SEV(80)

Enter DSPMSG QSYSOPR MSGTYPE(*INQ) to view all your messages requiring a reply. Verify the severity level for each message then set the severity level to the lowest found in the CHGMSGQ MSGQ(QSYSOR) DLVRY(*BREAK) SEV(XX) command.

This is the setup i created for our operator. 1 desktop with a dual video card so we could attach 2 monitors (you can skip this part if you have room for multiple desktops) Use iNav and add all iSeries under Endpoint Systems in Management Central (right click on Endpoint Systems to add if all are not listed). Expand My Connections for each iSeries. Click on Basic Operations. In the lower left pane at the bottom, click on View System Operator Messages. This will open the Qsysopr msgq. Click on View, Customize this view, then Auto Refresh. Check the Timed Refresh box enter a time in minutes to start auto refresh. Do this for each system and that solves the auto refresh.

Enter "wrkobjlck qsysopr *msgq" to view who or what is using the msgq then ask them to exit the screen or release the lock.

IBM iSeries Access for Windows is in the base os for the iSeries (5722XE1), you just need to install the PC plug in or have your admin to it. From there just add all the iSeries (Endpoint systems) you have on your network.

If the iNav solution is not conceivable, the only work around from the green screen i know of is to use the WRKACTJOB command. Type WRKACTJOB, F4, F10, and change the Automatic refresh interval to 60 seconds (or any value you wish) and press enter. Move your cursor to the Status column and press F16 to sort. Scroll down to where the JVAW and RUN (or SELW) status displays. Since it's is alphabetical order, MSGW will appear between the two. Now press F19. Your screen will now auto refresh every 60 seconds and if a job goes to MSGW, it will display.
