Hi friends, I have the "JDEdwards Enterprise 1" on my system AS/400, and evertime after the IPL I execute this process by STRQSH. How can I configure this "runs" on my QSTRUP ?, I don´t know if this parameters below is correct; CALL PGM(QWAS6/QWASSTRSVR) PARM('-profilePath' '/QIBM/UserData/WebSphere/A ppServer/V6/Base/profiles/default' '-server' 'AS_JS_81') CALL PGM(QWAS6/QWASSTRSVR) PARM('-profilePath' '/QIBM/UserData/WebSphere/A ppServer/V6/Base/profiles/default' '-server' 'AS_JS_82') CALL PGM(QWAS6/QWASSTRSVR) PARM('-profilePath' '/QIBM/UserData/WebSphere/A ppServer/V6/Base/profiles/default' '-server' 'AS_JS_83') Can You help me, the commands run only by STRQSH ? Hi,

I would suggest you write a small CL program to run your commands. Then change your QSTRUP to SBMJOB your small CL program. Make sure you get the parameters right on your SBMJOB command, because if your QSTRUP goes wrong it’s difficult to recover your system. I believe IBM charge customers for this, regardless of whether they have a support contract – they see it as a “self-inflicted” problem.

Also, make sure that you have the correct version of your QSTRUP program – check the system value QSTRUPPGM to see which program is being run and do a RTVCLSRC to make sure you have the current version.

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.

I agree with Martin. If you find these jobs bombing out on startup when using a SBMJOB command try activating logging or make sure you're sending the messages to QSYSOPR. Then at least you'll get a notification. Also schedue them towards the end of the startup process or submit with a short delay. I've ran into issues with specialized jobs failing on startup because they get submitted before the necessary services or subsystems are online. startup programs have to be the biggest pain to troubleshoot on the AS400 since you rarely reboot. Until I had an HA environment I was lucky if I could test a startup program once a year.
