I would suggest you write a small CL program to run your commands. Then change your QSTRUP to SBMJOB your small CL program. Make sure you get the parameters right on your SBMJOB command, because if your QSTRUP goes wrong it’s difficult to recover your system. I believe IBM charge customers for this, regardless of whether they have a support contract – they see it as a “self-inflicted” problem.
Also, make sure that you have the correct version of your QSTRUP program – check the system value QSTRUPPGM to see which program is being run and do a RTVCLSRC to make sure you have the current version.
