My 400 query has edit words specified for proper printing of the dates in my report, but I am passing parameters to select the correct data using STRQMQRY. My output is ignoring the edit words specified in the query

A QM form should be possible even if STRQMQRY uses a *QRYDFN as its source. Perhaps RTVQMFORM ALWQRYDFN(*YES) could be a good start on applying good formats for printing dates. Regardless, I'd almost certainly convert it all the way to a QM query (and form). I can't think of a single reason to keep the old *QRYDFN around. Tom
