During monthly maintenance we submitted a reorg of a file:
-RGZPFM FILE(MM410LIB/INVAUD) ALWCANCEL(*YES) LOCK(*SHRUPD)
The reorg was canceled after running 15 hours. Now the PF and first logical file are being reindexed under the QDBSRC04/05 jobs (there are a total of 8 logicals). When executing the EDTRBDAP command, the system estimated just under 3 hours for the rebuild - but it has currently been running for 31+ hours (add that to the original 15 hours and you can see my problem!)
-----------Access Paths----------- Rebuild Elapsed
Seq Status File Library Member Time Time
99 RUN INVAUD MM410LIB INVAUD 02:41:42 31:40:15
The logical file is locked by the system process and is causing inquiry screens to blow with an allocation error. Is there anything we can do to speed the rebuild up? The business community has run out of patience and will soon have my head on a stick... =(

It’s hard to say this, but there isn’t much you can do now. I would make a call to IBM to ask if any useful action is possible. And I don’t think this is the right time to discuss how it might be done “next time”. Tom
You said the logicals are locked. Is there any activity on the physical? How busy is your system. You might need to end the interactive subsystems.Call IBM.
Let us know how it turns out for you
