Putting something into calendar for multiple days

In Office 2010 how can I put in something for a few days, like that someone will be in town from 5.10.12-5.16.12 while still being able to put in other appointments?

If you enter each affected day as an All Day Event, I believe it should show as free time by default in the calendar. You would need to use the event description to show the actual times someone was ìn town & available`, but that would allow other appointments throughout the day
