I have data entered randomly and now I want to sort it numerically using a certain column as the numbers to sort.

Here’s the answer:
Click on “Data” in the tool bar
this will open a list of tasks
Click on “SORT” in the list of tasks
this will open a window where you can specify high order to low order sorting, and ascending or descending.
Answer the questions.
Click OK

Keep this in mind when performing such actions in the future:

Use the manual.
Use the built in help functions.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with test data.
