I have an issue with Publisher 97 that i need to sort ASAP.
I am IT techy in a School.
Firstly, we cannot upgrade coz the teachers need to teach this version and i have been there and tried the argument which lead to a ticking off by the Boss!!!!!
Secondly, we have no money as its end of finacial year and need this sorting before then!!
Thirdly, the actuall issue.
We have a web page template. The task is that the users open this and then open publisher a second time, copy 1 completed page into the template, then save as a new filename blah, blah, blah..
However, when we go to copy the page into the template we get the following message: "Publisher cannot create a temporary working file" we click ok, and get a message about the clipboard and to close any applications to free up memory!
Task manager at this point shows we have around 35-45MB free ( i know, not a lot) and this is on 15-20 laptops.
Specs are Fujitsu Seimens Lifebooks, 1400 Celeron, 128MB RAM, 20 gig HDD (HDD is not an issue as has over 10 gig free).
Now we have 6 new laptops: Acers, 2.x Celerons, 512MB/256 RAM (not too sure) and we do not get the same message!
Google only gives me things on the error message regarding saving files and this is not an issue.
Please can anyone help me on this. my boss wants this done ASAP!!! like i haven't got enough on already!!! If you need any more info, please ask and i'll see what i can do.
