It sounds like you want to create a query-based security group, like the query-based distribution groups you can create for exchange. Unfortunately that capability is only available for distribution lists, not security groups. Query-based groups take more CPU and RAM on the Exchange server as well. You CAN create a static security group and grant ownership and management of it to one person in the group so they can maintain the list themselves. Thank you, Technochic. This is what I am sort of looking for. Yes, I know about the query based distribution. But the problem I was asked is "If a group of people are invited to a meeting/calendar, then only those people can see the details and edit". I know of the static acl, but wasn't sure whether I can apply something like query based acl and how? You have answered my question, Thank you. Tigers2009

I am relatively certain that the majority of permissions should be set within exchange and not the client, unless I am misunderstanding your question.

Hope this helps!

What you mean on dynamic permission for public folders?
As i know that the permission on Exchange is static for any accounts.

Thanks Schmidtw,

I was looking for dynamic ACL (like query based) setting on the public calendar. Set the permission on the client or the backend really doesn’t matter.

Thank you for your reply.
