Tom,
Printer is IPDS no Idea of manufacturer and type, it is connected through TWINAX and version is V5R4. If you could suggest me how to check the manufacterer and type I can do it now.
This prt01 is attached to the controller CTL01. When I checked the controller CTL01 all the devices attached is in offiline status. I do not understand what is the problem with CTL01 or how to make the devices online.
First check in wrkwtr. if it is varied on. check in WRKCFGSTS *dev PRT*, there check the status as well check IP of printer.
What is the printer associated with PRT01? What manufacturer and type? How is it connected to the system? What version is your OS? — Tom

Tom,
Printer is IBM 6400
If it’s twinax, check the printer address versus what the system shows as the printer address.

You’ll likely need to vary on CTL01, then vary on the attached devices.
Hi Splat, I have checked, CTL01 is Active. Only the devices attached to that controller is Vary on Pending
If the printer is addressed correctly, try varying it off then on. If that fails, try varying CTL01 off then on and then varying on the printer.
