Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The best approach to any project is planning.

Start basic, what are your MAIN goals; literally, ultimately what are you looking for.

Second, create sub-goals (repeat if necessary).

Third, determine the steps necessary to create each goal.

Although you gave very limited details, I will try to help.

For you project, you must answer these questions:
1.) How large is the company?
2.) What are the data entry needs (storage volumes, hardware capabilities, softwares, etc.)?
3.) Does the data have to be fed in in multiple pieces, or can a single document be entered?
4.) Do you offer OBCD connections to other databases that already contain the information?
5.) Do you already have databases set up?
6.) What language are you writing in?
7.) What environment are you working in?

These are just a few questions you must as yourself.

Hope this helps!

Moderator Note: Hello Weli and welcome to IT Knowledge Exchange. You might also wish to visit the Project Management section of our sister site SearchSoftwareQuality. While not Telecom-related, you'll find best practices for moving a project from requirements gathering to completion. You may also be interested in our SearchTelecom sister site, too. Good luck with your project.
