Hi, I keep getting error :you attempted to open a database that is already opened exclusively by user "xxxx" on machine "xxx". When I look there is a duplicate database name with the .dlb extension. This lock seems to be on all day? at the end of the day my excel works perfectly(when the .dlb is gone), refreshing data from this access data base. As far as I can see the access database is shared? and I can run a query any time of the day.  If however I try to import the database to an Excel spread sheet and refresh the data during the day i get the above error. We have 3 computers networked with the database on one computer and sharing via the network. We are running Access 95 and windows 7. Can anyone please help? I'm a novice.

Software/Hardware used:
Windows 7, Access 95

    The cause may be:
When U attempt to open this database that is already open in shared/ non exclusive mode by a specified user. For kind info: It can open database only in shared mode until the other user closes it. (As u mentioned, "We have 3 computers networked with the database on one computer and sharing via the network".)
