Problems with network wireless card

HP Laptop, Broadcom wireless, Overheat

I have a HP pavillion zd7000 laptop with a Broadcom 54g maxperformance 802.11g wireless card. I have had this laptop for almost 2 years with no problems.
Recently the card is loosing connection and after I search for wireless networks it will reconnect. I is very annoying to be online and constantly being dropped.
I have noticed that this laptop generates alot of heat. It may be overheating the internal wireless card..just a thought.
Didn't know if I need to download a new driver or if you have any suggestions.

Thanks
Joe

The internal heat could have melted the antennae or caused the connector on the antennae to come loose from its terminal. I would open her up and check the connections. If that does not help I would go to the broadcom site and get updated drivers. If you create a new user on your machine is there any difference?

Does you internal fan still work? Is the machine under warranty Joe?
