Problems with Email Blasts via Exchange 2003
Hello Everybody - I have a client who has been trying for the last few months to send email blasts to clients via their Exchange Server 2003. However, they've never been able to successfully send out the email to all recipeints. I know the downsides to blasting from their Exchange Server (getting blacklisted), but this is something they really want to do and I cant stop them. Any ideas as to why it never works?

Answer Wiki:
Please define blasts and what the issues are for undeliverable messages. Have there been any discussions with their ISP about their business requirements? ******** Also, how many recipients are you talking about? Exchange has a limit on the number of recipients allowed. That number can be changed however. When you say they are not successful, do they get an NDR when they try? If so what does it say exactly? Are there errors in the event logs? If so what are they? In Exchange System Mananger expand global settings, go to the properties of message delivery. You can change the maximum recipients there.

Good point. I talked to my client and of course with the right questions you get a completely different story. A while back we had created distribution lists categorizing their 400 users into manageable 30-45 person groupings.

Main problem now is when they try to send a blast, they cannot select the group from the contact list. I normally use a web based blaster so this is all foreign to me… any ideas?
