I'm running an iSeries ILE program and trying to end commitment control with ENDCMTCTL.  Unfortunately, instead of this working correctly, I get the following error message:
CPF8355 - ENDCMTCTL not allowed. Pending changes active
What is the proper way to do this without simply signing out and starting a new session?

Sounds as if your program is failing to do a commit or rollback so that at least some of the data changes are still pending.

Signing out would do a rollback.

Yes, handle the "pending" changes. Either COMMIT or ROLLBACK whichever is appropriate. That's the main point behind starting commitment control to begin with, to allow the decision to keep or discard the transactions. -- Tom
