I am trying to connect new v5r3 lpars to my v5r2 network, but keep getting into troubles. First on the v5r3 system QTAPARB has a lock on the TAPMLB01 and the TAP01/02s. I can see all the resources in wrkhdwrsc *stg, they are operationel. This is a 3494 fiberconnected and 3490 devices. The same devices as the v5r2 systems uses. I want this created as native TCPIP. Can this be because the TAPMLB01 was set to go online at IPL? And therefore was online before TCPIP was active? I have set this to *no. Do I have to reIPL to get rid of this lock? I cannot allocate the library and the resources.
The other question is that after I have run the INZBRM *NETSYS FROMSYS(V5R2system) on the new v5r3 system one of the v5r2 systems cannot connect to the new system. All the others can. And the new system can connect to all the systems in the network including the 'bad guy'. I am quite sure I have followed the instructions on all the systems. I cannot figure out what I have missed on this system. I get this errormsg:
msgcpf4101 File qa1aspd in library qtemp not found or inline
data file missing.
msgcpf4125 Open of member qa1aspd failed
msgbrm1177 Cannot establish connection with remote system.
As stated on IBMs APAR II13351 I have checked the authorities on CRTDDMF and they look allright. Do you have a clue?? I look forward to hearing from you before I go crazy ;-)
